[ DEFINITION ]

What web development means here.

Web development is the engineering behind a site or an application: the code, structure, performance and integrations that decide how it loads, how it reads to people and to search engines, and how easily it can change. We treat it as part of a system — designed with the interface, connected to your data, and built to be extended rather than replaced.

  • Website or web application?

A website publishes and persuades: pages, content, search visibility. A web application does work: accounts, data, workflows, dashboards. Many projects are both — and we build them on the same foundations.

  • Built, not assembled.

Templates and page builders trade control for a faster start. A custom build is shaped around your content, your brand and your integrations — so performance, accessibility and structure are decisions, not defaults.

[ IN SHORT ]

  • Engineered, not templated — every page built around your content, brand and integrations.
  • Fast and accessible by design — performance and accessibility are requirements, not fixes at the end.
  • Ready for search — semantic markup, structured data and multilingual foundations from the first release.
  • Connected — headless CMS and API integrations where they earn their place.
  • Built to evolve — an architecture that can grow into a product instead of being rebuilt.

[ WHY WEBSITES STALL ]

Most websites are slow, hard to find or hard to change. We engineer against all three.

Where websites break

  • Heavy by default — oversized pages and scripts that lose visitors before the first screen.
  • Invisible to search — markup and structure that search engines and AI assistants can't read well.
  • Closed to part of the audience — interfaces that fail keyboard, screen-reader or low-bandwidth users.
  • Locked into a builder — content and features limited by the platform, not by the business.
  • Disconnected — forms, CRM and data living in separate places, copied by hand.
  • Rebuilt every few years — no architecture for change, so every new need means starting again.

How we build

  • A performance budget — Core Web Vitals treated as requirements from the first sprint.
  • Semantic and structured — clean HTML, metadata and structured data that search engines can parse.
  • Accessible — keyboard, contrast and assistive technology built in, following WCAG.
  • Your content model — a headless CMS or custom content structure that fits how you publish.
  • Integrated — APIs connecting the site to the tools your team already uses.
  • Architecture for change — components and structure designed to be extended, not replaced.

[ SCOPE ]

Websites, applications and the systems behind them.

One team designs the interface, engineers the frontend and connects it to your content and data — so every part is built to work with the others from the start.

  • 06

    Web apps & MVPs

Browser-based products, from a first version to a growing platform.

[ ENGINEERING FOUNDATIONS ]

A beautiful website is only half built.

What makes a site last sits underneath the design: how fast it loads, who can use it, how well it reads to search engines and how easily it grows. Five foundations go into every build.

01Performance

Pages that render fast on real devices and real networks.

  • Core Web Vitals as requirements
  • Optimized images and fonts
  • Only the JavaScript a page needs

[ IN EVERY BUILD ]

What comes with every web project.

  • UX & interface design

Structure, flows and interface designed before development begins.

  • Frontend engineering

Typed, component-based frontends built on modern frameworks.

  • Back-end & APIs

Server logic, data and integrations wherever the project needs them.

  • Content management

A headless CMS or content model when your team publishes often.

  • Performance

Budgets for speed and Core Web Vitals, checked before launch.

  • Accessibility

Keyboard, contrast, semantics and reduced-motion support.

  • Technical SEO

Metadata, structured data, sitemaps and multilingual signals.

  • Analytics

Measurement set up, so decisions come from data.

  • Launch & handover

Deployment, documentation and a clear path for what comes next.

[ RANGE ]

Different builds. The same standard.

Brand sites, content platforms, applications and launches each need a different structure. These layouts show the range we design for — they are archetypes, not client work.

  • 01Brand site

  • 02Content platform

  • 03Web application

  • 04Product launch

Case studies are published here only with our clients' permission.

[ STACK ]

Modern, typed and built to be maintained.

We choose tools for the project, not out of habit. These are the foundations we build on most often — this site included.

  • Next.js
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind CSS
  • Node.js
  • GSAP
  • Headless CMS
  • Vercel

[ WHY ELIXIR ]

A studio that builds the whole system.

Web development at ELIXIR sits next to software, AI and SEO — so a website can grow into a platform, connect to automation or be found in AI-driven search without changing teams.

  • One system

Design, engineering and content decisions made together, not handed off.

  • Built to evolve

We design, build and keep evolving — the work doesn't stop at launch.

  • Multilingual by design

Our own site runs in five languages, right-to-left included.

  • Beyond the website

Software, AI and automation from the same studio as the project grows.

[ THE METHOD ]

The ELIXIR Method, applied to the web.

Every web project moves through the same five phases — the method behind all of our work.

Explore the ELIXIR Method
  1. 01

    DISCERN

We learn the business, the audience and what the site has to achieve — and look closely at what exists today.

  2. 02

    DEFINE

We set priorities, the page structure, the content model and the technical approach, and agree on what success means.

  3. 03

    DESIGN

We design the interface and its interactions, from the key pages to the component system behind them.

  4. 04

    DEVELOP

We engineer, integrate and test — performance, accessibility and search checked before launch.

  5. 05

    DISTILL

We refine what the data shows, remove what doesn't serve, and keep the site evolving.

[ WHERE WE WORK ]

US roots. Working internationally.

ELIXIR Creative is a digital innovation and technology studio operating internationally. Our work began with clients in the USA and Canada; today we are expanding into Morocco, the UAE, Germany and other international markets — and this site is itself built in five languages, right-to-left included.

[ ENGAGEMENT ]

Scoped to the work, not to a package.

Every project starts with the audit: we map what you need and come back with a scoped plan. Most web work takes one of three shapes.

  • 01

    New build

A website or web application designed and engineered from the ground up.

  • 02

    Rebuild & migration

An existing site moved to a faster, maintainable foundation — protecting its content, URLs and search visibility.

  • 03

    Ongoing evolution

Continued design and engineering after launch, as the business and its needs change.

Web development for businesses that have outgrown templates

ELIXIR Creative is a digital innovation and technology studio. Our web development covers high-performance websites, web applications and custom interfaces — engineered with modern frontend frameworks, connected to headless CMS platforms and APIs, and structured for search from the first release.

Because the same studio handles SEO & GEO and Digital Transformation, a website can be planned as part of how the business is found and how it operates, rather than as a standalone deliverable.

Web applications, not only websites

When a project needs accounts, data or workflows, it becomes a web application. We build those on the same foundations: typed code, clear data models, secure APIs and interfaces designed for daily use.

When the scope grows into a product, the work continues as Custom Software Development or SaaS Development — with the same team and the same engineering standards.

[ FAQ ]

What people ask before building a site.

01

What is the difference between web design and web development?

Web design defines how a site looks, reads and behaves. Web development is the engineering that makes it real: the code, the performance, content management and integrations. We do both, as one piece of work.

02

Do you build custom websites or use templates?

We build custom. Each site is designed around its content and engineered on modern frameworks, which gives a level of control over performance, accessibility and structure that templates and page builders rarely allow.

03

Which technologies do you use?

Most of our web work uses Next.js, React and TypeScript, with a headless CMS where editors need one and APIs for integrations. We choose the stack for each project, and explain why.

04

Can you build a web application, not just a website?

Yes. Portals, dashboards and browser-based tools are web applications, and we build them on the same foundations as our websites. Larger products continue as custom software or SaaS development.

05

Will my website be fast and ready for search?

Performance and technical SEO are requirements from the start: Core Web Vitals budgets, semantic markup, metadata, structured data and sitemaps. Rankings depend on more than the build — which is why we also offer SEO & GEO.

06

Can my team update the content?

Yes, when the project calls for it. We connect a headless CMS or build a content model, so your team can publish without touching code.

07

Do you build multilingual and right-to-left websites?

Yes. Multilingual structure — localized URLs, hreflang and right-to-left layouts such as Arabic — is part of the architecture, not an afterthought. This site runs in five languages.

08

How much does a website cost, and how long does it take?

It depends on scope: the number of page types, integrations, languages and the content involved. We don't sell fixed packages — the audit comes first, and it leads to a scoped plan with cost and timeline.

09

What happens after launch?

We can keep evolving the site — new features, performance and content improvements — or hand it over with documentation, so your team can take it forward.
